Youth Code of Conduct
Purpose: To ensure a safe, respectful, and positive environment for all youth participating in NRG In Motion programs.
Youth Expectations
All participants agree to:
Show respect to peers, instructors, volunteers, and guest speakers.
Participate to the best of their ability, with a positive attitude.
Use appropriate language at all times.
Keep hands, feet, and objects to themselves.
Follow all safety instructions provided by staff.
Take care of program materials, including journals, workbooks, and equipment.
Avoid bullying, teasing, or intimidating behavior of any kind.
Stay engaged during activities and discussions.
Ask for help when needed.
Prohibited Behaviors
The following behaviors are not allowed:
Bullying, harassment, or discrimination
Physical aggression or threats
Destruction of property
Disruptive behavior that prevents learning
Leaving the program area without permission
Use of drugs, alcohol, or weapons
Consequences
NRG uses a progressive discipline approach:
Verbal reminder
Instructor conference
Parent/guardian notification
Behavior plan (if needed)
Removal from session or program (for repeated or severe behavior)
