NRG Youth Code of Conduct Agreement

Youth Code of Conduct

Purpose:   To ensure a safe, respectful, and positive environment for all youth participating in NRG In Motion programs.


Youth Expectations

All participants agree to:

  • Show respect to peers, instructors, volunteers, and guest speakers.

  • Participate to the best of their ability, with a positive attitude.

  • Use appropriate language at all times.

  • Keep hands, feet, and objects to themselves.

  • Follow all safety instructions provided by staff.

  • Take care of program materials, including journals, workbooks, and equipment.

  • Avoid bullying, teasing, or intimidating behavior of any kind.

  • Stay engaged during activities and discussions.

  • Ask for help when needed.


Prohibited Behaviors

The following behaviors are not allowed:

  • Bullying, harassment, or discrimination

  • Physical aggression or threats

  • Destruction of property

  • Disruptive behavior that prevents learning

  • Leaving the program area without permission

  • Use of drugs, alcohol, or weapons


Consequences

NRG uses a progressive discipline approach:

  1. Verbal reminder

  2. Instructor conference

  3. Parent/guardian notification

  4. Behavior plan (if needed)

  5. Removal from session or program (for repeated or severe behavior)
