I built NRG In Motion Foundation from a place of lived experience, deep reflection, and a commitment to breaking cycles I once had to navigate alone. Growing up, I had people who offered guidance and created pockets of safety — places where I could glimpse who I was and who I might become. But I also learned resilience through survival, strength through adversity, and leadership through necessity. Those lessons shaped me, but they also revealed what was missing: consistent support, intentional mentorship, and spaces designed for youth to grow with confidence.
Becoming a mother shifted everything. I had a clear idea of how I wanted to raise my children, but the world they were growing up in was evolving faster than the traditions I was raised with. My daughters became my greatest teachers. Watching them grow, stumble, rise, and discover their voices showed me the power of presence, honesty, and emotional guidance. I found myself trying to raise them in a world that no longer resembled the one I grew up in — the core values were still there, but the landscape had changed. Legacy upbringing was fading, and I had to evolve with it.
Three defining moments with my daughters shaped the foundation you see today.

Our oldest daughter came home one day and announced, “I signed up for the violin.” My husband and I looked at each other — we knew nothing about violins. We weren’t sure if it was a phase or a passion, but we chose to support her fully. She practiced daily, performed in school concerts, and eventually needed her own instrument. Even the dogs participated — howling when the notes were off, quieting as she improved. She played all the way through high school. That violin, still in its case, represents something bigger: she invited us into her safe space, and we chose to walk that journey with her.
Our middle daughter is gifted in ways she doesn’t always recognize. She has natural athletic ability, but her interests were often short‑lived. She eventually found her place in basketball, but the real work was internal — effort, dedication, confidence, and honesty with oneself. We spent years building leadership skills and emotional resilience. Her freshman year of college, she made history by helping her team win the first Women’s National D1 NJCAA Championship in her school’s history. We continue to remind her that one day the ball will stop bouncing, and who she is beyond the game matters just as much.
And then there is our youngest — the one who took us on a journey none of us had ever traveled. Her defining moment came when she suffered a major ACL injury. It tested her identity, confidence, and emotional strength. What could have broken her instead revealed her resilience. Instead of going home after the injury, she stayed at the tournament and coached her team from the sidelines. Two months after surgery, she helped coach her team to a high school state championship. She couldn’t contribute on the court, but she showed up anyway — fully, intentionally, and with heart.
That moment lit a fire in me.
I realized youth don’t just need programs — they need people. They need connection. They need movement, leadership, and mindset. They need spaces where they can be seen, heard, and supported as they grow into themselves. They need opportunities to rise not just academically, but emotionally, socially, and personally.
NRG In Motion Foundation was born from that truth.

This foundation is an evolution of the safe spaces I had growing up — and the ones I had to create for my daughters. It is a place where youth can explore who they are, build confidence, learn emotional tools, and develop leadership skills that carry them into adulthood.

Our programs are rooted in healing, empowerment, and the belief that when youth move with purpose, they lead with confidence.

Every workshop, every school partnership, every community event is built from my lived experience as a mother and as a woman who had to learn resilience the hard way. I know what it feels like to navigate life without a roadmap. I also know what it feels like to rise — and I want every young person to experience that rise with support, not in isolation.

NRG In Motion Foundation is more than a nonprofit.
It is legacy work.
It is generational work.
It is healing work.
It is the work of giving youth what I once needed — and what every child deserves.

Our mission is simple: to create safe, supportive, empowering spaces where youth can grow into leaders, build emotional strength, and discover the greatness already inside them.

This is why I do this work.
This is why NRG In Motion exists.
And this is why we will continue to show up — with intention, with love, and with the belief that when youth rise, entire communities rise with them
